Tiny Personal Firewall turi lanksèius nustatymus tokiai kontrolei. Ugniasienë gali nustatyti darbo sà lygas Internete kiekvienai aktyviai programai atskirai - tinklo protokolas (TCP, UDP, ICMP), duomenø perdavimo kryptis (ið asmeninio kompiuterio ÷ tinklà ar atvirkðèiai), leidõiamas naudojamø IP adresø ir portø diapozonas (pvz., jei FTP programa visada jungiasi prie to paties FTP serverio, tai geriau nustatyti konkretø to serverio IP adresà ), o taip pat kiekvienos taisyklës protokolavimo bûdai. Kad kenkëjiðka programa nesimaskuotø kaip standartinë, ugniasienës kontroliuojama programa õenklinama pagal praneðimo profil÷ (MD5).
Be standartinës Tiny Personal Firewall versijos dar yra Net versija, naudojama tinklo darbo stoèiø apsaugai, susidedanti ið vietiðkai ÷rengiamos ugniasienës ir tinklo centralizuotos valdymo konsolës MMC.

Standard Version:

- hierarchically combines user defined and administrator defined rules
- undo all file and registry activities performed by selected applications
- filters pass-through traffic (on a gateway or a bridge)
- filters the traffic based on the originator membership in Active Directory (server license only)
- offers detailed signature based network intrusion detection and prevention capabilities
Changes in verion 6.5.126:
- device rule (and partially UI) fix. Internal rule for acces from system itself was missing for USB and Firewire protection.
- new protection feature: Block access to physical memory from user mode applications and loading and running some code in kernel memory through use of undocumented APIs in ntdll. Note: Not all Windows were affected (it is not implemented on 64bit version of TF). Temporary for build 6.5.126 only: It is disabled by default. You have to turn it on manually - in registry HKLM...ServicesKmxSbx set value "SystemGuards" (REG_DWORD) to 1. Reboot is needed. It takes settings from Inject Code access from System Privileges guard.
